Ready to make a spiritual impact on others?
Even during these days of social distancing?
There is a way, and you can do it.
One of the most effective ways you can love, encourage and support others is taking their needs to the feet of God in prayer and asking Him to guide their life process in the wisdom of His word and empower them to deal with whatever they are facing. Look at what Paul prayed for the Philippian church,
“9 And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, 10 so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, 11filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.” Philippians 1:9-11
Paul’s words here are filled with a powerful truth. His prayers were for individuals in the Philippian church and their spiritual walk with Jesus. Paul prayed that they would fall in love with Jesus more and more, and that they would continue to learn to do that every day.
Make a new prayer list today. Start it with one person. Then pray that they will fall more in love with Jesus today. Add another person tomorrow, and pray for them both. Maybe one more the next day. You decide how many
you can pray for each day and week. Ask God to teach and empower them to love Him more each day. Pray that their spiritual fervor will catch fire and consume them with a passion for Him. I want people praying that for me. Only God knows what will happen when His people start to pray for one another to fall more in love with Him. There is no better place we can take each other. There is no better place we can be.
